Songs for Surkhet

On Sunday 11th April I'll be playing an acoustic fundraiser with Olwen Ringrose in support of The Lighthouse Project in Nepal. I have Nepalese family so this cause is pretty close to my heart...

"The Lighthouse Project is working with the Badhai people in Surkhet, Nepal. These people are amongst the lowest caste of Nepalese society whose income relies on the prostitution of their women and children. Global Compassion has purchased land and is currently building a children’s home and community centre to provide health care, education and a safe haven rescuing children from the sex trade. All proceeds from ‘Songs For Surkhet’ will go to this work. Come, enjoy the music and help us help the people of Surkhet.

ENTRY IS FREE. THERE WILL BE A 10 MINUTE PRESENTATION ON THE LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT AND AN OFFERING WILL BE TAKEN UP TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE TO THE WORK IN NEPAL."
