ALBUM NEWS! Plus gig with The Kominas @ Hector's House

At long (LONG!) last, I'm proud to announce that my debut album will finally be released on November 29th 2010 (which also happens to be my birthday).
The official launch will be at a secret location in Brighton (email me for more details - kit@kitashton.com), and will be a downright musical extravaganza if I do say so myself!
More details to come as they are confirmed...

In the meantime I'm playing a show next week - bringing Taqwacore/ Asian punk band The Kominas to Brighton for one night, with support from Dirty Scavenger.

OK so a couple of weeks back I played Meltdown festival with the brilliant Mr. Thomas White and he (the nice fella that he is) gets me on the gezzy for a certain Elvis Costello who basically headlined the festival...
So after the (amazing) gig I am hanging out at the post-show party randomly chatting and downing the free booze, and I meet these nice American types who have also just played Meltdown in a punk band called The Kominas...
We chat. I dig what they're about. I mention I live in Brighton. They tell me they're on tour and would love to come to Brighton. Somebody suggests I hook them up with a gig... Abracadabra: all of a sudden I'm a promoter.
