Tom Robinson is clearly a legend.

The brilliant singer/songwriter and BBC broadcaster seems to have no end of time and good advice for emerging and struggling artists, generously serving up great blogs, links, articles and recommendations - and now he's bigged up little old me...

Just back from MIDEM...

Skint (€8 a beer!), exhausted, and somewhat brain-fried; but with an overloaded metaphorical suitcase-full of ideas, possibilities and new relationships which I will now be attempting to unpack.

If you don't know but you do care what I'm on about - my Midem trip was a promo exercise at the world's largest music trade fair and conference held in Cannes, France, and the plan was to tout the latest mixes of the new album to all those lovely music biz types that can help me along my way...

Well we've done it! With a final guitar part, a vintage Hammond drum loop, and a brilliant backing vocal session from The Burlettes at long last we have finished tracking the album - after two years of favour pulling, dodgy-dealing, blood, sweat and tears all we've got left to do is mix and master the thing...

So in the absence of Damo tonight I'll be co-hosting the legendary Brighton radio rock show... with Ace obviously...
